Spaghetti Bolognese
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 brown onion diced
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1 zucchini died
4 mushrooms diced
1 x 400g tin of brown lentils
1/2 cup of red wine
1 jar of your favourite pasta sauce
Fresh basil leaves
4 serves of cooked spaghetti or pasta
Method:
Cook spaghetti as per packet directions.
Saute onion and garlic in a large pan.
Add zucchini and mushrooms and cook until soft.
Stir in pasta sauce and red wine. Turn down heat and let sauce simmer until it thickens. (Usually 20-25 minutes).
Add in lentils and basil. Stir and allow to simmer for minutes 2 minutes.
Serve sauce over your spaghetti.
Top with basil.
